The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel is 24 kilometers long with a maximum speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour. It connects Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Guangzhou's Nansha District. Construction began in December 2016, the main line was completed in November 2023, bridge load tests were finished in April 2024, and it officially opened to traffic on June 30, 2024. On its opening day, vehicle traffic reached 125,000 trips. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel includes a 6,845-meter underwater tunnel, with a submerged pipe section of 5,035 meters, composed of 32 pipe segments and one final joint. It is the world's first dual-directional, eight-lane steel shell concrete immersed tube tunnel.

The Shenzhen section of the Shenzhong Expressway connects separately to the Shenshen High-speed, Guangzhou-Shenzhen Elevated Highway, and the Shenhai High-speed. If traveling from Zhongshan to Shenzhen City, it is recommended to use the Shenzhen section of the Shenzhong Expressway and then take the Shencen Highway onto the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Highway, which can directly reach Huanggang Road and Binhe Avenue.

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is located next to the Shenzhen section exit of the Shenzhong Channel. Driving along the Shenzhong Channel to Shencen Expressway, you can then follow the branch road to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.

Drive from Shencen Expressway onto Shenhai Expressway, exit at Longgang Avenue, and you will enter Longgang District. By starting point in Zhongshan City, the drive time is approximately 2.5 hours.

After reaching the Shenzhen section via ShenZhong tunnel, turn left onto Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway along the river. Along the way, you can take a detour to Fuzhou Avenue or Shenzhen Outer Ring Expressway to enter Baoan District.

After entering Shenzhen from the deep tunnel, follow Shencen Expressway, Jinggangao Expressway, Nanping Expressway, Shuiguan Expressway, and Shenhai Expressway. Then drive onto Lvzi Avenue and continue on Danzi Avenue to arrive at your destination.
