Opening ceremony
The 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony will be held on July 26th on the Seine River, featuring a spectacular water show! The 2024 Paris Olympics mascot, "Phryges", made its official debut in January this year. Its design inspiration comes from the " Phrygian Cap" symbolizing freedom during the French Revolution. Among the newly added four events, skateboarding, climbing, and surfing will make their return after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The highly anticipated breakdancing will debut at the Olympics, showcasing the unique charm of street culture. The breakdancing competition will be conducted in a one-on-one format, with each team allowed to send up to two male and female athletes to compete for 32 spots. At that time, DJs will select music on site, and athletes need to improvise according to the music rhythm, demonstrating high-difficulty techniques and personal style. It is believed that this will definitely trigger a wave of viewing enthusiasm.

To promote gender equality and achieve a 1:1 ratio of male and female participants, the 2024 Paris Olympics adjusted its competition events, reducing two major categories and ten minor categories in total.
