Ningxia Night Market is a delicate and compact foodie paradise. Although it's not large in scale, it boasts an abundance of delicious food. There are many stalls recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand, and this time we have specially curated a Michelin Ningxia Night Market special edition for you to precisely savor the must-eat delicacies!

Oyster omelet on the edge of a circular plate

Operating for 60 years, this oyster omelet stall remains a popular choice. They use fresh oysters delivered daily from Tainan and give generous portions. The thick batter is pan-fried until the surface is slightly charred, then drizzled with just the right amount of spicy sauce. It's no wonder there's always a long queue! Even locals rave about how delicious it is. They also recommend trying their rice cakes and sour plum juice! [Photo Source: Michelin Bib Gourmand website]

Fangjia Chicken Rice

I still remember the first time I tried Fangjia Chicken Rice with the editor. The environment wasn't particularly appealing, and they only sold a few common dishes. However, after taking a bite, my impression of the store changed drastically. The seasoning of the chicken rice perfectly captured everyone's taste buds, the meat was very tender, and pairing it with a bowl of seaweed egg drop soup was super satisfying! Plus, it's affordable, you can enjoy it for a small price.
Business hours: 5:00 PM ~ 12:00 AM

Taro Balls with Egg Yolk Filling

A place that sells only "Crispy Taro Balls" and "Egg Yolk Taro Cakes," it's a hit with visitors. They use the famous Miaoxian taro, which is soft and smooth. The "Crispy Taro Balls" are simply fried taro paste, fragrant but not sweet. The "Egg Yolk Taro Cakes" have added salted egg yolk and meat floss (a more chewy version of shredded pork). With the addition of egg yolk and meat floss aromas, it adds another layer of flavor. However, be prepared to wait almost an hour on weekends!
Business hours start at 5:00 PM.

Pig Liver Congee

This shop mainly sells pork liver soup, tripe soup, meat dumplings, and mixed soup. It's a 70-year-old establishment that always has a very long queue. However, the dishes are simple, served quickly, and eaten quickly. The soups are definitely must-orders; the sweet broth contains thick and tender pork liver, crisp tripe, and meat balls. The meat dumplings are in southern Taiwanese style, meaning they are steamed dumplings. They later introduced Taiwan-shaped scallion taro cakes, which are cute and represent local characteristics. They are perfect for taking pictures and eating!

Ningxia Night Market Transportation

Ningxia Night Market is located approximately between Zhongshan Station and Shuanglian Station on the Taipei Metro. It's a 10-minute walk from either station's Exit 1. As Ningxia Night Market is close to another popular tourist area, Dadaocheng, many visitors combine the two into one itinerary. Getting around Taipei by public transportation is convenient. Most places are easily accessible by metro or bus. If your short trip will involve frequent use of the metro, consider purchasing a metro pass. An EasyCard (similar to Hong Kong's Octopus card) can be used for the metro, buses, and shopping, so we also recommend getting one!
