Besides the cute Christmas lights area, there's a beautiful photo bridge that internet celebrities must take pictures of, and a good Christmas market to browse. Of course, the most important thing is the concert! You can listen to free performances by the Five-One Singers and Zhou Tanghao, an opportunity you definitely shouldn't miss! This article will also introduce transportation methods, recommend delicious food, and nearby hotels!

The Xinzhuang Christmas Village is held annually at the plaza opposite Banqiao Station. This year, it opened on November 17th and will run until January 1st next year. The theme this time is "Santa Bear," with decorations, animations, merchandise, and photo spots throughout the area. Admission is free, so feel free to visit anytime during its opening period. The lights are turned on daily from 5:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

Check-in Highlights

Map Download: Christmas City Map

The entire Christmas City is super photogenic, but it's difficult to finish exploring in one day. It's recommended to plan your route beforehand or make two trips. Here are some must-visit check-in areas!

Main City: Projection Light Show, Canopy Christmas Tree

The main city will directly project that year's theme animation onto the buildings, and it uses high-brightness projection. The colors in the photos are vivid enough. The sound-and-light show happens every day from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with one show every hour and half hour, lasting about 5 minutes. It's highly recommended to watch it once. Even outside the light show hours, it's a great place for photos.

In past years, it has been a pure Christmas tree shape, but this year they have used a dessert canopy, which is very magnificent. It's always a gathering place for crowds, just look at the proportion of people in the picture to know how tall the tree is! If you want to capture the whole canopy, you need to test your photography skills!

Four-lamp street (outside the main city wall).

Outside the main city, there are four illuminated pedestrian paths, all beautifully decorated. You can stop anytime for photos, and each path has a different theme: Starry Dreams Come True, Happy Deer of Happiness, Double Happiness Tree, and Angel's Blessing. Most people walk along all four paths. Don't underestimate this short stretch; taking pictures alone will take up a lot of your time here. It's truly photogenic!

Seven Grand Sky Bridges

For stunning Instagram-worthy shots, head to the Light Corridor Bridge. Each of its seven light corridors boasts a unique style. However, it's popular, so be mindful not to block pedestrian flow when taking photos. Staff will also guide visitors forward.

In previous years, bridges with a romantic style were more common, such as the Maple Leaf Corridor and the Pink Leaf Corridor. This year, there are more diverse options, each offering a unique aesthetic appeal when photographed.

This year's seven light corridors are Meteor, Magnificent, Galaxy, Stars, Golden Waltz, Wish, and Violet Spirit Corridor. Visitors can consider these as prime photography spots.

Station Square: Dessert Town

The dessert town near the station square has four main attractions: a giant pink donut, adorable macarons with frosting, a classic magical cake castle, and a candy house. The whole area is decorated in a cute style.

Wan Ping Park: White Cat Area

Popular meme character "Lazy Cat" has arrived at Christmas City this year! There are many Lazy Cat decorations and shops in Wanping Park, as well as a photo-taking event with an EasyCard giveaway. If you love Lazy Cat, be sure to visit!

Fu Zhong Plaza: Gingerbread Wonderland

Finally, there's the Gingerbread Wonderland at Fuzhong Plaza! The entire area is decorated with adorable gingerbread man lights, and there’s also a huge gingerbread man lying near Exit 2 of Fuzhong Metro Station!

Getting There

Airport shuttle service.

Airport Bus Transfers | Taoyuan Airport (TPE) - Taipei City If your itinerary before or after visiting Christmasland involves the airport, I highly recommend purchasing an airport bus transfer service. Choose Bus #1962, and it will take you directly to Banqiao Bus Station upon arrival at Christmasland. It's only a two-minute walk from the station to the destination. Pre-booking is convenient as you can exchange your ticket upon arrival! Of course, if you're headed to other parts of Taipei, you can check if the airport bus route stops at your desired location along the way.

MRT

The detailed addresses of the four main activity locations are listed below for your convenience. You can choose the MRT exit based on your first destination, but please note that Banqiao Station has both the Banqiao- Nangang Line and the Circular Line, which are located a bit apart from each other. Be careful not to take the wrong one.

Train.

If you take the train, get off at Banqiao Station. Actually, all of the Christmas City areas are quite close together, within walking distance. You don't need to worry too much about getting lost. Just follow the light district!

Motorcycle

If your trip includes more attractions, consider renting a motorcycle for easier travel. You can directly use your Hong Kong or Macau driver's license to rent one.

Nearby Recommended Restaurants

A trip to Christmas Town usually takes several hours, and most people only leave when they're hungry, tired, or just can't take it anymore. They often haven't even finished exploring! This shows how much energy a visit here requires. To help you stay fueled up, we recommend two delicious places to refuel!

Banqiao's Biggest Night Market, Nan Ya Night Market.

Nan Ya Night Market is the largest night market in Banqiao, popular with both locals and tourists. Besides delicious food stalls, you can also find game booths and everyday necessities. Be sure to try the Ma Li charcoal-grilled chicken, Banqiao Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings, and various flavorful sausages – guaranteed to refuel your energy!
Address: No. 87, Nan Ya East Road, Banqiao District, New Taipei City. (Google Map)

“Noodles with Sausage” at Yougukou Noodles

If you don't want to go too far and just want a simple meal before continuing your shopping, we recommend trying Youku Kou Mian Xian near Banqiao Station. Local food lovers know that you definitely have to order pickled cabbage and sausage to pair with the noodles here – it’s a rare combination these days, and that’s why it's very popular.
