Looking for a delicious meal in Taipei? Check out these buffet restaurant recommendations! Whether you're on a budget, looking for a luxurious dining experience, or following a vegetarian or healthy diet, there's a restaurant for you. This time, we introduce 13 Taipei buffets with their unique features and must-try dishes!

Dreamy Queueing Soufflé - Han Lai Harbour

The first recommendation, personally my favorite, is Han Lai Hai Port. Each visit, I must try their beef soup. Guests choose fresh slices of beef and place them in a bowl. Add a spoonful of hot broth and top with ginger shreds or chopped scallions to complete it. Since you control the doneness of the meat, seasonings, and more, and the beef is incredibly fresh and tender, the result is truly delicious! The seafood selection is another highlight, with an entire tray of fresh shrimp, crab, clams, and more for you to choose from. Don't miss out on the dessert section's freshly baked soufflé. Its fluffy exterior and smooth texture are a delight. Every time it’s served, there’s a long queue waiting. It's worth the wait!

Paradise of Affordable Dining

The second restaurant, Paradise Dynasty, offers excellent value for money. Its relatively affordable prices make it a popular choice for locals celebrating events like teacher appreciation dinners or birthdays. The menu boasts a wide variety of dishes and changes 30% of its offerings every month, showcasing their dedication to freshness. The editor highly recommends trying the clam soup and the snow crab noodle casserole! The premium roasted ribeye steak and oven-roasted pork ribs in the meat section are must-tries, along with the thin-crust pizza. And don't forget about the dessert section – it's fully stocked! Be sure to indulge in the caramel crème brûlée and the shaved ice.

Made-to-Order Delights at INPARADISE

Next up is a buffet restaurant located opposite Taipei 101, on a high floor. The window seats offer fantastic views. The biggest highlight here is the wide array of freshly prepared dishes! The food is divided into eight sections. The "Oceanic Bounty" section offers various sashimi, and the "Grilled Delights" section features popular teppanyaki dishes. A must-try is the sea scallops and sirloin steak. The "Sweet Treat" section has a variety of desserts on offer. However, if you come on a weekend evening, expect to pay around HK$500!

Lobster lovers, this is a must-try! Every month's Lobster Night at FOOD allows you to indulge in unlimited lobster. The date for next month's Lobster Night will be announced on their official website. Priced at over HK$600 per person, it's incredibly popular and reservations are hard to come by! Even outside of Lobster Night, FOOD is a great place to gather with family or friends. They offer a combination of seafood and international creative dishes, giving you an incredibly "rich" variety of choices.

Taste of Japan at Xin Ye Japanese Cuisine

In Taipei, Xin Ye is the most recommended Japanese buffet. The store's wood design matches the Japanese style. The initial intention of the dishes is to allow guests to taste a variety of Japanese cuisine all at once. There are many types of dishes available. First, go to the sashimi area and tell the chef what kind you want, they will slice it fresh for you. There are also sushi, rolls, and side dishes here; personally, I love their teapot steam. The broth is light but very delicious, tasting the sweetness of the ingredients! The beverage and dessert area is always crowded with people. If you want freshly squeezed juice, alcoholic beverages, or ice cream, just tell the waiter.

Nagomi Japanese Cuisine Feast

Nagomi, another Japanese restaurant, introduces the Japanese "woman manager culture" service, offering guests a welcoming soup and paying attention to every detail, upholding the Japanese concept of hospitality. The restaurant's décor uses soft lighting, hoping guests can savor each bite slowly. The most anticipated sashimi section is a full counter! It will be freshly sliced by the chef, with options for hand rolls and grilled sushi. The Kaiseki cuisine is visually appealing from the start.
Price: From $320.

4 Hours of Unlimited Steamed Scallops at Xujiji

This is the most expensive Japanese restaurant we recommend this time, but there are afternoon tea hours, so those who want to try it first can start with afternoon tea. The teppanyaki area is the most popular, especially for the pan-fried scallops. However, you can only get two per round, and after finishing, you have to queue again; the fried food area is highly recommended for their fried shrimp, which are meaty and not overly breaded, making them very popular; besides afternoon tea, there are also Wagyu croquettes available! Finally, we recommend their earthen pot steamed rice. It surprisingly includes a whole abalone!

Bright Eye Oven at The Grand Hyatt Shenzhen Exploration Kitchen.

Next, we introduce several buffet restaurants. First up is Explorer's Kitchen, a well-known culinary destination in Taipei. Its highlight is the imported Robata grill from the United States. The chefs expertly demonstrate their skills by grilling various ingredients right before your eyes, giving you a visual feast even before you start eating! The grilled pizza area next to it is also quite impressive and has even been certified by the Pizza Association. Lastly, they offer seasonal dishes that change with the times, such as mango desserts and seafood feasts that appeared during summer. They use the freshest, highest-quality ingredients and combine them with creative cooking techniques, making it something truly worth looking forward to!

Glittering Splendor, Mei Fu Hotel’s Cai Hui

The second hotel's buffet has a higher price point, but the ingredients are truly impressive, especially the seafood in the cooked food section. The scallops and oysters are incredibly plump and fresh, while their signature beef dishes are exceptional. They offer a variety of options, including a wagyu clear soup, a wagyu rice bowl available only during dinner, and a classic beef noodle soup. Anyone who loves beef should definitely try all three! Another highly recommended item is their dessert selection. The entire display case is filled with visually appealing treats. Their macarons aren't overly sweet and cater to a wide range of palates. They also offer freshly made Korean-style popular pastry croissants, proving that you should definitely leave extra room for the dessert section at this buffet!

All-You-Can-Eat Giant Crab Legs at the Grand Hyatt Hotel's Twelve Culinary Delights

During the summer seafood season, they featured a large crab seafood bucket that came with huge crab legs, without any extra charge – very generous! Later, during the Korean food festival, they switched to serving crabs on plates, steamed to perfection for maximum freshness. Crab lovers should definitely take advantage of these seasonal offerings! Even if you miss out on the hairy crab, the seafood area also has freshly steamed crabs, clams, and prawns, so you don't have to worry about enjoying cold dishes causing stomach upset. The teppanyaki section is highly recommended for its olive sea bream and US ribeye steak – freshly grilled to perfection!

High Value Vegetarian Cuisine

For vegetarians, don't worry! This place recommends two vegetarian buffet restaurants where you can still enjoy delicious food. The first one is transformed from a famous bakery, with many dishes and desserts labeled as egg-free, dairy-free, or fully vegan, so you won't have to worry about making a mistake. There are also vegan sashimi here, which is very special. The biggest highlight is the incredible value for money – at a very affordable price, you can enjoy over a hundred innovative dishes. The dining environment is also very comfortable, making it a highly recommended choice for vegetarian buffets.
Price: From $104.

「蔬食功能餐飲」Indeed Delivers

The second vegetarian buffet focuses on "functional dining," aiming to cater to every guest through various international cuisines, whether they are vegetarians or simply seeking healthy options. It's highly recommended for everyone to come and savor the flavors. The restaurant boasts an earthy design. The salad bar is particularly impressive, featuring a wide array of fresh ingredients, some less common, paired with flavorful dressings. The fried and grilled section is also excellent, offering both savory and sweet dishes like crispy sesame balls and vegetable tempura, which are popular choices among diners. Finally, the dessert area highlights all homemade treats, especially the caramelized grapefruit with ice cream—a must-try!
